We can accept the following file formats: .DOC, .PUB, .XLS and many more but there is generally a small converting charge to prepare these files for press. FILE SIZE:The maximum file size acceptable for email is 7.5 MB (megabytes) per file. If your file is larger than this, please upload using www.treasurebayprinting.com. RESOLUTION:All file formats must have a minimum of 300 dpi (dot per inch) resolution. COLOR MODE:All color artwork and/or images must be provided in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) color mode. BLEED:Please build your press-ready digital files by adding 0 .125" dimension for all products especially business cards, postcards, and rackcards. What's a bleed? It is the portion of the card that will be trimmed off when cut to the final size. Why bleed? The purpose of a bleed is to continue a color, image or design to the edge of the card. CROP MARKS:Please build your press-ready digital files by adding crop marks.
FONTS:a. Fonts must be embedded in PDF files. SAFE ZONE:All critical elements (text, images, logos, etc.) must be kept at least 0.125" inside the edge. Anything left close to edge may be cut off during trimming. BORDERS:Please allow 1/16" cutting space around your card. No borders are recommended, as shifting in the cutting process may make borders appear uneven. DIMENSIONS:
ALWAYS PROOF:We ALWAYS recommend that you proof your print job before printing, even if you have submitted the files. Many people ask: "Do I still need to approve a proof if I send my work electronically?". It may seem like a proof wouldn't be necessary in this case, but it really is. Different computers and output devices process digital information in different ways. Your approval of the proof assures our equipment has correctly interpreted the information you have provided. |
